Elevator cabs take abuse no lobby wall ever sees — luggage, deliveries, dogs, moving blankets. We specify finishes for that reality: conversion-varnish lacquers on wood, PVD coatings on metals, and panel systems that let a single damaged section be swapped instead of re-skinning the whole cab. A scratched stainless steel elevator door can often be refinished, while deeper dents or failed coatings may call for a new skin.
